Bitumen

Commonly known as asphalt mixtures or asphalt concrete, are composite materials used in road construction and maintenance. They consist of aggregates, such as crushed stone and sand, bound together with a binder known as bitumen. 

Bituminous mixtures offer a durable and flexible surface for roads, capable of withstanding heavy traffic loads and varying weather conditions. The aggregates provide strength and stability, while the bitumen acts as a binding agent, ensuring cohesion and preventing water penetration.
